the Qur’an is the only reference that is free from doubt, and therefore it is given precedence over other reports and accumulated juristic elaborations. This places the hadith heritage as a speculative human production in a lower position in terms of certainty and textual authority. Accordingly, the Qur’anic text cannot be equated with human reports in argumentation.
