How Do You Read the Episodes of Al-Naba’ al-‘Azim Inside the Atlas?

These pages do not present a complete text of the episodes, nor do they treat them as a book. They are reading maps for a visual program that explains Muhammad Shahrur’s project to a broad audience.

The internal archive contains audio files and text transcriptions for each episode. The function of these files here is verification, analysis, and the building of links, not republication.

Method of Reading

Read the episodes as an explanatory entry point:

  1. From the episode to the general idea.
  2. From the idea to the concept within the atlas.
  3. From the concept to its locations in Shahrur’s books.
  4. From the book to the atoms, the verses, and the arguments.

What Is Extracted from the Episodes?

  • A thematic title for each episode, because some of the original titles are general.
  • The concepts and terminological distinctions that Shahrur explains in dialogue form.
  • The relationship of the episode to Shahrur’s books and the atoms of the atlas.
  • The questions or objections raised by the presenter and answered by Shahrur.
  • The pivotal verses, after checking them against the muṣḥaf, not from the automated transcription alone.

Note

The analysis here helps with tracking and comparison, and does not replace the original episodes. To watch the visual material, please refer to the Rotana channel on YouTube or the available official source.
